Key Responsibilities

As a Strategic Business Solutions Analyst at Travelex, you will be responsible for delivering business analysis on regulatory-related projects from the IT function's perspective. Your key accountabilities will include reviewing, eliciting, and writing requirements/EPICS & User Stories for the complete solution. You will communicate and manage the business requirements and acceptance criteria between development teams to implement solutions. Additionally, you will participate in feasibility studies and prototyping, defining and managing inputs, requirements, acceptance, and success criteria. You will provide input to technical architecture and investigate solution options to ensure that business and technical needs are fulfilled. You will also be responsible for building relationships with business owners, Product and Marketing, internal IT teams, and the Engineering team. Furthermore, you will work with Product Delivery, Support, and Change teams in an agile environment to bring products to market. Staying abreast of industry standards and collaborating across communities is also an essential part of this role.

Product Delivery Implementation

You will take responsibility for IT solutions delivered and manage traceability from requirements through to implementation. You will collaborate with developers and SMEs to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs. You will also identify and assess options for new or improved processes and present them to decision makers at senior management level.

Change Management

You will guide senior business management towards accepting change brought about through IT, showing understanding, imagination, and creativity. You will recognize and exploit opportunities for improvements to IT systems and delivery. You will evaluate and make recommendations on technical options as appropriate, actively contributing to Travelex's technical strategies. You will ensure the smooth integration of new business processes with the organizational structure and culture.

Management Information

You will write and speak fluently on all aspects of work and communicate effectively with all levels of management. You will produce accurate, timely, and relevant management information for peers and managers as required.

Relationship Management

You will represent the business internally, working closely with Business Owners for systems. You will establish yourself as the go-to person for the systems you support. You will develop and maintain robust relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure business analysis, development, test, and implementation activities are visible and in line with agreed customer expectations. You will build confidence and acquire an understanding of the business.

Communication

You will be responsible for proactive and regular communication with other areas of IT and the business whose work impacts or depends upon the team. You will proactively provide feedback and deliver ideas to develop and improve requirement gathering and generation. You will actively communicate and seek feedback from colleagues and customers.

Team Membership

You will actively participate in Technical/Business Analyst communities and proactively seek opportunities to serve in leadership roles. You will ensure appropriate and comprehensive support arrangements are in place with internal and external teams and partners. You will work to agreed day-to-day objectives and participate actively in regular one-to-one meetings with line managers. You will develop personal skills and support and encourage support for 'people initiatives'.

General

You will participate in the process of innovative change within the Technical Analyst Communities. You will be or become a subject-matter-expert in the business domain and related IT services and systems. You will be interested in gaining an in-depth knowledge of business and technical areas and a detailed technical understanding of the supporting IT services and applications.
