Job Opportunity
Are you looking for a challenging role that will utilise your technical skills and expertise? We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team in the capacity of Consultant Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement software solutions using Scala and Spark technologies
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote development standards and best practices
- Provide production support and troubleshooting services
- Develop and implement tools and processes to handle performance, scale, availability, accuracy and monitoring
- Liaise with business analysts to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of requirements
- Participate in regular planning and status meetings
Requirements
- Proficient in Scala development and design using Scala 2.10+ or Java development and design using Java 1.8+
- Experience working with Apache Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Python, ETL frameworks, Map Reduce, SQL, RESTful services
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms and big data modelling techniques
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git, GitHub), automated deployment tools (Ansible & Jenkins) and requirement management in JIRA
- Understanding of time-series/analytics databases such as Elastic search
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Airflow, Control-M
