Lead AR Operations

The role of the Head of AR/AP involves overseeing the financial operations related to accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP). This pivotal position entails managing the accurate processing of invoices, timely collections, reconciliations, effective vendor management, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.

This individual will play a crucial role in leading and managing the financial operations related to AR and AP. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing AR and AP functions, preferably in a leadership role.

  • Manage the AR and AP teams during the US shift, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • Monitor and manage outstanding invoices, ensuring timely collections and efficient cash flow management.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all AR and AP transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong leadership to the AR, Collections and AP teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and customer service, to resolve any payment-related issues and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting regulations related to AR and AP processes.
  • Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in CPA, CMA, etc. is a plus.
  • 18+ Years of extensive experience in managing AR and AP functions, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant accounting regulations like IAS or IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and financial systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
