Job Description:

The role of Director of Placement involves overseeing and managing the placement process for students in various programs. The ideal candidate should be target-driven, have connections with corporate partners for campus recruitment, excellent negotiation skills, and effective communication skills.

The key responsibilities include leading all engagement activities from pre-placement to post-placement stages by monitoring, controlling, and reporting progress. Some specific duties involve:

  • Maintaining strong industry connections with private sector companies, startups, recruitment firms, and HR consultants in the NCR region.
  • Networking with industry associations, forums, and captains to leverage opportunities.
  • Utilizing online platforms, social media, and job portals for networking and career development.
  • Interacting with industries regularly on career opportunities and employment trends.
  • Connecting with other resources and institutions, such as government-affiliated bodies.
  • Identifying internship opportunities for students and handling placement data management.
  • Preparing detailed reports from placement data for periodic reviews.
  • Ability to manage flexible and extended time requirements as needed.
  • Organizing interaction programs on career opportunities in universities and external agencies.
  • Tracking application forms, pre-screening candidates, shortlisting, and scheduling interviews.
  • Monitoring individual candidates' progress.
  • Providing counseling on procedures to applicants.
  • Maintaining accurate records of applicants' information in digital format.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in management, human resources, business administration, or a related field. A postgraduate degree is desirable. Familiarity with relevant software tools used in the placement process is essential.

A minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate placements in the NCR region is required. The candidate should have PAN India network, multi-disciplinary university experience, and expertise in placement coordination, communication, presentation, training, soft skills, and project management.
