Job Title: Automation Consultant - GenAi

Role Description:

The position of Automation Consultant involves the strategic application of test automation processes to improve software quality. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that our systems meet industry standards by designing, developing and maintaining efficient test automation frameworks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Defining Test Automation Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish test requirements and integrate automation into development pipelines.
  • Designing Scalable Frameworks: Develop and implement scalable test automation frameworks for functional, regression and performance testing.
  • Leading Test Automation Teams: Provide mentorship, technical guidance and best practices in test automation.
  • Establishing Automation Solutions: Work with Test Architects, Developers and QA Leads to refine automation solutions.
  • Developing Complex Test Cases: Use industry-standard tools to develop and execute complex automated test cases across UI, API and database layers.
  • Evaluating and Integrating Technologies: Identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements, and evaluate and select cutting-edge automation technologies.
  • Overseeing CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Ensure seamless deployment and test execution through CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Driving Shift-Left Testing Practices: Embed automation early in the development lifecycle through shift-left testing practices.
  • Maintaining High Reliability: Monitor and maintain automation test suites for high reliability and maintainability.
  • Providing Insights through Reporting: Develop robust reporting and analytics for test execution, providing visibility into test coverage and defect trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in test automation with proven expertise in designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Java for automation development.
  • Experience in AI-driven testing solutions and GenAI integration.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and containerized testing.
  • Ability to define risk-based testing strategies and optimize test coverage within Agile and DevOps environments.
