Research Chemist

About the Role:

Turing is seeking a Research Chemist to join our team and contribute to the development of large language models (LLMs). As a key member of our research group, you will create chemistry problems, analyze model responses, and identify gaps in logic or understanding. Your work will help us measure how well these models handle abstract thinking and structured problem-solving.

What You Will Do:

You will be responsible for creating complex chemistry problems that challenge LLMs, analyzing their responses, and providing insightful feedback on their performance. This role requires strong research and analytical skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled in or have completed a Ph.D. or Postdoctoral in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Able to provide clear, constructive feedback with examples.
• Strong written communication skills, especially in remote settings.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Stable computer and internet access.

Commitment Details:

• At least 4 hours per day and minimum 20 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST.
• Contractor assignment/freelancer.
• Duration of contract: 1 month.
