The primary objective of this role is to create and implement comprehensive training programs that enhance sales capabilities, service standards, and launch preparedness within the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Design and build curricula and standard operating procedures for product knowledge, shade matching, regimen building, hygiene practices, visual merchandising basics, and claims guidelines.
  • Content Creation: Develop multi-format content including presentations, playbooks, videos, role-plays, and quizzes in multiple languages.
  • Training Delivery: Conduct train-the-trainer sessions, field coaching, roadshows, and monthly masterclasses to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Partnerships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate INCI information and benefits into accurate demos and ensure compliant claims.
  • Technology Integration: Set up learning management systems, track training progress, publish training calendars, and analyze impact using dashboards.
  • Operations: Manage regional trainers, onboard channel partners, and oversee external academies and vendors.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 6-10 years of experience in beauty or personal care retail training, with a proven track record of leading pan-regional training initiatives.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of makeup and skincare products, with the ability to explain INCI and shade science in simple terms.
  • Languages: Bilingual proficiency in Hindi and English, with confident facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Analytics: Data-driven with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with learning management systems.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and launches, with high comfort level in traveling.

  • Pure L&D professionals bring strong pedagogy and content creation skills but may require coaching on retail acumen.
  • Ex-BAs/Counter Leads possess great field intuition but need to demonstrate content creation and analytics skills.
  • Prior brand-side experience is preferred over third-party trainers for accountability to key performance indicators.
