Azure API Developer

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong technical background to design, develop, configure and manage APIs within Azure.

This role requires a proactive mindset with excellent communication skills to work closely with customers and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include API development, deployment and troubleshooting, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, secure and scalable APIs aligned with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

API Development & Deployment:

  • Design, create and deploy APIs using Azure API Management Gateway (APIM).
  • Write and optimize Azure Function Apps to support API logic.
  • Integrate APIs with backend services, databases and cloud applications.

Management & Support:

  • Perform advanced API Gateway configurations including policies, security, routing, transformations and caching.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, including governance policies.
  • Monitor and manage API performance, availability and scalability.

Customer Engagement:

  • Engage with customers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, best practices and mentorship to peers.
  • Ensure effective communication across business and technical teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in API design, development and deployment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Azure API Management (APIM) Gateway configuration.
  • Proven experience in creating and managing RESTful APIs and integrations.
