Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Juniper Networks. As a Resident Technical Expert, you will be responsible for providing onsite post-sales support under the Juniper Networks Advance Services Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead requirement gathering, design & technology workshops on best practices review, design review, and documentation.
  • Work to enhance network operation support processes, including troubleshooting guidelines, automation, and best practices.
  • Validate and test Mops, features, and functionality.
  • Assist customers and partners with implementation, integration, or migration planning.
  • Provide ongoing informal training related to operational aspects.
  • Assist in troubleshooting critical and major issues with TAC, Partner, and Customer teams.
  • Act as a technical lead for major network deployments and migrations post FNI.
  • Follow the Juniper Advance Services engagement and delivery processes, working closely with the Service Manager.
  • Work closely with colleagues and customer personnel to help with day-to-day operations and major upgrade activities.
  • Participate and lead all operational reviews with customers and partners.
  • Ensure prompt response to Juniper and Customer teams for any suspected escalations.
  • Provide informal training (Knowledge Transfer workshops) to Juniper Networks partners and customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical management and teams.
  • Track and report issues found during testing, implementation, and migration.

Requirements:

  • Expert communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mature 'customer-first' focus.
  • Strong design, implementation, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Commitment to delivering a remarkable customer experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Strong understanding of IP packet flow, OSI, and TCP layers.
  • Layer 3 - IP and related technologies (ICMP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, CGNAT, GRE, QoS, VRRP).
  • Ethernet, 802.1Q, PPP, PPPoE, PPPoA, IPv6/Dual-Stack, DHCP, AAA, and related protocols (Radius, Diameter, DNS).
  • IP-related protocols (IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, QoS, EVPN solutions).
  • Good experience in Metro Ethernet, Broadband technologies, and seamless MPLS, QoS, and IP-related services.
  • Strong Service Provider background.
  • Very strong knowledge (CCIE/JNCIE level) of design principles and operations in SP networks.
  • Extensive experience in a technical role, including strong experience supporting large SP networks and mobile backhaul solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience on Juniper devices.
  • Some experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred).
