Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize HANA environments. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture, Linux operating systems, and hands-on expertise in database administration, upgrades, backups, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Administration: Manage and maintain HANA environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize HANA system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure security, licensing, and audit logs in SAP HANA to meet regulatory requirements and protect sensitive data.
  • Critical Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot backup failures, memory, CPU, and database issues, and provide timely support to customers to resolve incidents efficiently.

Requirements:

  • SAP HANA Expertise: 4-8 years of experience in SAP HANA database architecture, including design, implementation, and management.
  • Linux OS Expertise: Hands-on experience with Linux OS for database administration tasks, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Backup and Recovery: Experience in backup and recovery concepts, including Backint, to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • HANA Environments: Knowledge of HANA MDC and Non-MDC environments, including their differences and best practices for implementation.
  • Security and Compliance: Ability to manage security, licensing, and audit logs in SAP HANA to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills for backup failures, memory, CPU, and database issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

Desirable Skills:

  • Incident Handling: Prior experience in incident handling, SLA management, and customer interactions to provide timely support to customers.
