About the Role:

This position is part of our vertical serving major clients in financial services. It involves working with accounting and financial data, enabling professionals to view summarized data.

  • Lead project requests, guide team members on execution, and ensure output meets client requirements
  • Review work for accuracy and consistency in categorization of line items, journal entries, invoice processing, and other project deliverables
  • Handhold team members on complex projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards
  • Maximize productivity and ensure communication guidelines and timelines are adhered

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Train team members in spreading financial statements in a client database
  • Read and interpret information from notes/schedules accompanying financial statements
  • Develop team members' concept clarity and ability to interpret financial data
  • Calls & emails for collecting pass due amounts
  • Understand DSO and timely application of cash
  • Collate financial information and KPIs from broker reports, management call transcripts, and news articles
  • Oversee journal entries, PO requisitions, vendor creations, and payment reconciliations
  • Manage Non-PO & PO invoices and pay invoices within timelines
  • Manage T&E payments
  • Create monthly/ad-hoc reports
  • Manage Fixed Asset: Accounting and reporting of organizations' fixed assets
  • Evaluate accurate capitalization, asset disposal, impairment testing, and depreciation calculations
  • Proactively manage client communication and serve as a point of contact for clients

Team Management:

  • Set goals and conduct performance reviews of direct reports
  • Audit team timesheets and trackers for completeness and correctness
  • Identify training needs and provide training, coaching, and mentoring where appropriate
  • Recruit and retain high-quality talent into the team
  • Institute knowledge sharing/best practice sharing forums
  • Prepare periodic performance, utilization, and efficiency reporting packages

Requirements:

  • Proficient in English language with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts and familiarity with financial terms
  • Experience in either financial statement analysis or AP/OTC/RTR process
  • Flexible mindset and adaptability to manage client deadlines
  • Attention to detail and striving for excellence

Experience:

Minimum 4-7 years

Education:

Any graduate/MBA with finance specialization
