DevOps Engineer III

About the Role

The DevOps Engineer III will play a pivotal role in driving the development, automation, and security of our diverse company portfolio. We utilize a range of systems, including Chef, GitLab, GitLab-CI, Terraform, and Kubernetes, to automate testing and delivery of our hosted applications. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of full-stack application development, testing, continuous integration, and a passion for security, with extensive experience working in an agile software development environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the software development process by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, automating delivery, and implementing testing
  • Mentor other Engineers
  • Provide technical leadership for complex projects
  • Escalation support for Tier 2 SRE team and internal DevOps needs
  • Provisioning and maintenance of systems, load balancer configs, firewall rules, databases, and other automation-driven infrastructure tasks
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy our software

Requirements

  • 5+ years Software Engineering or Operations support
  • Comfortable with various programming languages (ruby, ansible, bash, Perl, python, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills for working across support and engineering departments
  • Excellent Experience with cloud hosting infrastructure such as Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure
  • Excellent Experience in virtualization environments especially VMware vSphere
  • Excellent knowledge of source control management GitHub, GitLab preferred
  • Passion for security and identifying opportunities to improve security and testing

Security Requirement

  • Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.
