Job Title: Assistant / Associate Professor Finance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant / Associate Professor of Finance to join our faculty at SKIPS University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and examining courses in our Postgraduate MBA in Finance, as well as contributing to curriculum development and quality teaching within the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and examine courses in our Postgraduate MBA in Finance through lectures, seminars, tutorials, coursework, and personal supervision.
  • Develop and teach postgraduate courses in finance, including Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Financial Derivatives, Taxation, and Marketing of Financial Products.
  • Plan and review own approach to teaching, ensuring high-quality instruction and student engagement.
  • Act as a coach and role model through excellent practice and mentoring, providing pastoral support for students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, taking a leading role in or contributing to the development of teaching and teaching methods and assessment.
  • Publish high-quality research in leading finance journals, engaging in innovative approaches to learning and teaching.
  • Participate in committee work at the departmental, college, and/or university levels as assigned, actively engaging in promoting the growth of the Institute.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Department Chair, demonstrating ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.

Requirements:

  • MBA in Finance or M.com from a recognized university.
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and outcome assessment.
  • Experience in teaching Finance at postgraduate or undergraduate levels.
  • Mastering computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Suite of Office Applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, with very good interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a PhD or NET or State Level Eligibility Test (SLAT) must be cleared.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience, strong research, and publication potential/record in Finance.
  • Professional experience and professional certification (such as a Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Financial Planner, etc.) are a plus.

  • Rich knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Ability to comprehend and explain concepts to students.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in undergraduate/postgraduate level teaching.
