This remote contract involves working as an AR Developer specializing in Unity. Responsibilities include building and shipping mobile AR features such as markerless/object tracking, plane/mesh, depth & occlusion, anchors, and hit-testing.

Integrate OpenCV for image/object detection and segmentation to enhance AR interactions.

Optimize for real-time performance across iOS/Android, focusing on frame time, memory, GC, and thermal management.

Own the debugging and release pipelines, write concise tech notes, and ensure code quality through profiling and optimization using tools like Unity Profiler, Xcode Instruments, and Android Profiler.

Key Skills:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in AR development with Unity (AR Foundation 4/5), ARCore, and ARKit features in production apps.
  • Proven expertise in object tracking, image/object databases, runtime updates, and OpenCV integration.
  • Strong proficiency in profiling and optimization on mobile platforms.
  • Proficiency in Git, CI basics, modular code, and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with Shader Graph/HLSL for lightweight VFX and occlusion tricks, Sentis/Barracuda or on-device ML, and Niantic Lightship.
  • Shipping experience to App Store/Play and automated build/test processes.
