We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including OSPF and RIP, as well as experience with routing tables, ARP, and DHCP. They will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues, ensuring seamless communication between international customers.

A strong background in OSI layers, TCP/IP, and data link headers is essential. The ability to troubleshoot using the OSI model and understand encapsulation and decapsulation processes is also crucial.

In this role, you will work closely with other teams to ensure timely handoffs of cases requiring technical or political escalation. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively interface with customers, document all interactions in CRM systems, and drive satisfactory resolution of issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing Level 1 issues
  • Ensuring consistent customer satisfaction
  • Documenting all communication with customers
  • Escalating complex cases to L2 TAC teams

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Detailed understanding of OSI layers
  • Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Experience with routing tables and ARP
  • Strong background in DHCP protocol messages and DORA process
  • Understanding of broadcast domains and collision domains
  • Knowledge of subnetting, VLANs, VTP, 802.1q, STP, and linkage
  • Familiarity with RIP (version 1 and 2) and OSPF (link states, LSA types, area types, router types, neighbor communication)
  • Good troubleshooting approach from Level 1 to 7 of OSI
