Design Engineer Opportunity for Roof Rail Expertise

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to spearhead roof rail design initiatives for passenger vehicles, encompassing hatchbacks and SUVs. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in designing roof rails utilizing CATIA V5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop roof rail systems for hatchback, SUV, and passenger vehicle programs.
  • Ensure feasibility considering structural strength, safety, styling, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Check manufacturability and optimize designs for cost and durability.
  • Maintain packaging awareness and interface with adjacent systems (roof, body side, sealing, trim).
  • Prepare and review 3D/2D design documentation in CATIA V5.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (styling, BIW, trim, manufacturing).
  • Apply learnings from prior vehicle program experiences.
