About this Role

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for crafting insightful reports that transform data into actionable intelligence. Working with diverse datasets, you will create visualizations that bring clarity to complex results.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering or a related field, with 10+ years of experience with relational databases. You will be responsible for designing and building solutions that meet business needs, extracting data from various sources, and consolidating it into a centralized repository.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Craft architecture, design, and implement reporting solutions.
  • Extract data from disparate systems and products.
  • Consolidate multiple data sources into a centralized warehouse or lake.
  • Ensure data is accessible and structured for reporting needs.
  • Develop dashboards and reports in data visualization tools.
  • Build resilient, reliable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Proactively monitor and address issues.
  • Implement best practices.
  • Collaborate as part of an agile team to design, develop, and maintain software.
  • Mentor junior team members in development practices and assist the engineering manager with design decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of strong experience with relational databases.
  • Expertise in querying and optimizing complex datasets.
  • Experience working with legacy code and systems.
  • End-to-end knowledge from product databases to information visualization.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, including Azure services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
