**Job Title:** Founding Backend Engineer

We are a fast-growing startup on a mission to build the world's first AI-powered finance team. Our AI agents close books, reconcile cash, forecast revenue, and prepare board decks—instantly, accurately, and auditable in real-time.

We are solving the financial back-office problem with cutting-edge AI infrastructure. Founded by ex-Microsoft leaders who scaled Azure Finance ($200B+/yr) and Azure Data & AI ($200M+ ARR), we're building a high-caliber team from the ground up.

What You'll Do:

  1. Architect and scale backend systems powering our AI-driven finance platform
  2. Build APIs and services using Python (FastAPI/Flask)
  3. Solve complex data integration challenges across financial systems
  4. Deliver features from 0 → 1 in collaboration with the founders
  5. Ensure performance, scalability, and audit compliance

Requirements:

  • 4–8 years backend software engineering experience
  • Strong builder/founder mindset – ideally ex-founder/CTO or early engineer at a VC-backed startup
  • Proficiency in Python (FastAPI/Flask)
  • Top-tier university background
  • Clear motivation for a high-impact role
