Job Overview

Wipro seeks a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to lead the design and maintenance of data architecture for assigned functional areas. This role requires collaboration with global teams, business units, and IT to document data requirements and usage.

About You

To succeed in this position, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in leading data-related activities. Your expertise should include SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC, and ideally MDG, as well as strong knowledge of PeopleSoft data tables.

Responsibilities

As a Data Governance Specialist, your key responsibilities will be:
1. Designing and maintaining data architecture for assigned functional areas
2. Defining data models, structures, and standards to support business objectives
3. Collaborating with functional teams, business units, and IT to document data requirements and usage
4. Ensuring alignment of data architecture with overall SAP S/4 HANA and organizational strategies
5. Implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks, policies, procedures for the assigned functional area
6. Creating and maintaining documentation for data models/rules, governance policies, and data linkages
7. Maintaining associated data dictionaries and metadata repositories
8. Defining, implementing, measuring, and controlling data quality standards and rules to data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
9. Monitoring and analyzing data quality reports, identifying and resolving data issues
10. Collaborating with data owners and subject-matter experts (SMEs) to address data quality issues
11. Executing and maintaining data security measures, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity
12. Providing user training and support on data-related best practices and organization policies/procedures
13. Communicating data governance principles and initiatives to foster a data-aware culture
14. Supporting data migration efforts for the assigned functional area during SAP S/4 HANA deployment projects
15. Establishing and transferring data ownership to a Data Management Office (DMO) in business operation or global function

Interactions

You will be interacting with various stakeholders, including Global Operations Transformation (ERP Program Management), IT solution architects, Business DMOs, GSM and Shared Services global process owners, and power users/super users.
