Job Title: Digital Content Producer (Tamil Lifestyle)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Writer to join our Tamil Lifestyle team at Samayam Tamil.

  • This role demands excellent command over the Tamil language and the ability to create engaging, reader-friendly, lifestyle content.
  • The ideal candidate will bring 10–12 years of professional writing experience, including substantial time spent in print media, and possess a strong background in lifestyle journalism.
About the Job

As a Senior Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality lifestyle stories across categories such as health, fashion, food, travel, relationships, and culture. You will ideate fresh and trending story concepts that resonate with Tamil readers.

You will adapt long-form print media sensibilities into digital-friendly storytelling formats and work closely with the editorial team to maintain the highest quality and accuracy standards.

Your goal will be to ensure stories are optimized for digital platforms without compromising authenticity and creativity.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 10–12 years of proven experience in journalism/content writing.
  • A strong understanding of audience preferences in lifestyle content.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining creativity and originality.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing, SEO, and social media platforms will be an added advantage.
Eligibility

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years on the lifestyle beat.
  • Strong background in Tamil writing with proven published work.
  • Prior work experience in print media is mandatory.
