Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the analytics infrastructure, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy large-scale data processing systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop real-time stream and batch data processing systems.
  • Develop and run services and analytics SaaS solutions.
  • Write unit and end-to-end tests for any code developed.
  • Owning scalability, high availability, and data security for services.
  • Mentor other developers in best practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of working experience.
  • Proven record of building ETL and analytics applications.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python, Java, or similar.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as REST APIs.
  • Experience in modeling data warehouses in BigQuery/RedShift.
  • Experience working with DBT or Dataform for building pipelines.
  • Experience building and embedding dashboards.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and streaming concepts and principles.
  • Capacity to pivot to new languages and frameworks.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new things and cutting-edge technology.

Favorable Skills:

  • Experience with modern big data stacks (e.g. Kinesis, Flink, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture and systems (AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions).
