Our organization seeks an experienced Technical Project Lead to oversee the development of our software applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide architectural oversight and conduct code/design reviews to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Align technical strategies with business objectives in capital markets, driving innovation and growth.
  • Lead teams in developing secure financial applications, prioritizing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage DevOps processes and L3 production support to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

Technical Expertise:

  • Lead architecture, design, and development of web-based enterprise applications using Java (JSP, Struts, EJB).
  • Review and approve designs, technical specifications, and architecture artifacts to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain best practices and ensure scalability.
  • Implement event-driven architecture for real-time systems and integrate with messaging platforms like IBM MQ.
  • Optimize SQL queries and data access on databases like IBM DB2 to improve performance and security.

Key Skills:

  • Familiarity with JSP, Struts, EJB, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with integration and deployment on platforms like IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Tomcat, Apache.
  • Knowledge of messaging and event processing using IBM MQ.
  • Ability to optimize backend operations with complex SQL queries and database management.
  • Strong understanding of platform scalability, availability, security, and compliance with industry regulations.

Platform Management:

  • Manage core modules such as Investor and Broker eServices Platforms, Electronic Contract Note (ECN) Management, Securities Settlements and Depository Applications, Corporate Actions.

DevOps and QA:

  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and testing processes.
  • Anchors the QA team dedicated for specific applications for test strategy, QA reviews, and quality compliance.
  • Manage L3 support, bug fixing, and performance optimization to minimize defects and downtime.

Governance and Reviews:

  • Conduct regular design and code reviews to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
