Quality Assurance Engineer for Embedded Operating Systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test specifications and plans for embedded operating systems and applications.
  • Apply a strong engineering mindset to design effective test cases while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure software complies with regulatory requirements, such as medical device standards, safety, and security.
  • Perform manual and automated testing; experience with test suites such as LTP, CTS, VTS, and ATS is a plus.
  • Do not test results identify defects and ensure timely reporting to the development team.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure comprehensive testing across the software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in QA or V&V (Verification and Validation) roles, ideally in embedded software environments.
  • Strong experience in embedded C, Python, Bash, and scripting for automation.
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing, with the ability to troubleshoot and analyze test failures.
  • Familiarity with medical device standards and regulations, particularly around safety and security.
  • Awareness of functional safety and cybersecurity is a plus.

  • Preferred candidates who are based in Pune or willing to relocate.
