Senior Experience Designer

At Zynga, we're looking for a talented Senior Experience Designer to help us create next-generation games that will be played and loved by millions of players around the world.

As a Senior Experience Designer, you will be responsible for crafting user-centered design solutions that promote ease of use, employ outstanding game/interaction design, and optimize the user experience universally.

This includes all phases of the design process, including conceptual design/development, graphic and interface design, interaction models, prototypes, user/task flows, and art production.

You will work closely with the UX Lead to establish and maintain the usability standards, visual integrity, interaction methods, brand standards, and consistency for the game.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating designs quickly and crafting creative, high-quality work.
  • Developing UI and interaction specifications/guidelines.
  • Executing and delivering UI designs and integrating production assets.
  • Rapid prototyping and creating MVP/click-through prototypes for internal buy-in.
  • Expertise in working with industry-standard tools like Adobe Photoshop, Sketch/Figma/Invision Studio/Adobe XD, Principle/Marvel.
  • Expertise in multi-device/platform design.
  • Proficiency in adapting and learning different game development tools (Unity).
  • Proficiency in building Design Systems and Prototyping frameworks.
  • Employing user-centered design practices to deliver outstanding interactive game experiences.
  • Ability to make design decisions and take on design problems independently, present, and sell design concepts.
  • Supporting design decisions from a practical, UX standard methodologies standpoint.
  • Collaborating with key internal clients and project partners to ensure the user experience reflects player needs and consistency.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years' experience in UX Design.
  • Expertise in initial data gathering, competitive analysis, stakeholder interviews, information architecture, usability evaluation, interaction design for co-creation of the spec, and driving product conversations, strategy in new/large features, experiments.
  • Expertise in conducting user research.
  • Experience working in a team of Experience Designers.
  • Ability to supervise, lead, mentor juniors, establish OKRs, and follow up.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, check-in.
  • Encouraged to evangelize the UX methodologies, evaluate, and establish standard methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience or knowledge of Unity 3D and motion design is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Real passion for gaming.
