Job Description

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating various firmware subsystems of Flash storage products, including SSDs and Mobile Storage using NVMe/UFS/SAS/SATA interfaces.

As a firmware engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop firmware functional units or integration tests that ensure quality and functional KPIs are met.

Your expertise will be essential in providing technical inputs or guidance to improve and adhere to software development and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop firmware subsystems meeting performance, reliability, endurance, and functionality requirements.
  • Collaborate with peers and management to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and data structures/algorithms.
  • Solid knowledge of NAND flash firmware stack including FTL, Host Interface, Flash Interface etc.
  • Experience working with storage protocols like eMMC/UFS/SCSI/SATA/NVMe.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl/Python/Shell etc. and Batch/Make/CMM scripting etc.
  • Excellent debugging skills in Visual Studio and on ARM based SOC using Lauterbach T32 and Logic Analyzers.
