Job Title: Data Engineer Lead Specialist

Overview of the Position:

The company is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer Lead Specialist to join its Knowledge Services team. This role will focus on driving analytics for impactful business outcomes by gathering, analyzing, and modeling data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with international stakeholders to align with business requirements and objectives.
  • Gather, analyze, and model data to develop business insights to drive decisions.
  • Design and implement data pipelines, including ETL processes, to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into structured formats for analysis.
  • Integrate and aggregate data from multiple sources, such as internal databases, third-party APIs, and data lakes, into centralized data warehouses or data lakes.
  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, demonstrating effective prioritization and time management.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Analytics, or a related field, or a Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Applications, IT, Business Analytics, or any discipline.
  • Proven experience of 4-5 years in data engineering, ETL development, and data pipeline management along with exposure to data analysis & Insights, whilst working with large data sets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction and manipulation with specific experience in managing a database along with writing intermediate to complex SQL queries for data extraction.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or similar.
  • Effective communication skills to present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance standards.
