UX Motion Designer

We are seeking a skilled UX Motion Designer to join our team. A UX Motion Designer is responsible for creating engaging and intuitive motion systems that enhance the user experience of digital products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of animation principles, interaction design, and user experience best practices. They will be able to conceptualize creative motion solutions to enhance user journeys and resolve interaction pain points.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating 2D and 3D motion design concepts that enhance usability and add personality to digital products.
  • Crafting smooth micro-interactions and dynamic transitions that resonate with the brand's voice.
  • Working closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and product managers to ensure motion is seamlessly integrated into the overall product design and development process.
  • Developing and maintaining motion design guidelines and contributing to the design system to ensure consistency across platforms.
  • Advocating for motion as a tool to improve usability, accessibility, and emotional engagement, aligning with user research and testing insights.
  • Providing motion specs and working alongside developers to ensure accurate implementation, optimizing for performance and scalability.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of tools like Lottie, Rive, Spline, After Effects, Figma (advanced prototyping), PPT/Keynote (advanced animations).
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS animations is a bonus.
  • A strong understanding of animation principles, interaction design, and user experience best practices.
  • The ability to conceptualize creative motion solutions to enhance user journeys and resolve interaction pain points.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to articulate the 'why' behind your motion designs to stakeholders.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your best motion design work, including micro-interactions, transitions, and system-level animations.
