Job Title: Video Editor

Job Summary:

HireBloc is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in the postproduction process by assembling raw footage into a polished product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable finished product ready for broadcasting.
  • Implementing and maintaining a consistent visual style and enhancing footage with visual effects and other postproduction techniques.
  • Collaborating with the creative team to understand the project requirements and aligning the video output accordingly.
  • Ensuring that the video meets the technical requirements for various platforms and devices.
  • Managing and organizing video files assets and project documents for efficient archiving and retrieval.
  • Performing color correction audio adjustments and other enhancements to optimize the videos quality.
  • Working closely with the scriptwriters and producers to understand their vision and offer creative input during the editing process.
  • Remaining up-to-date with the latest industry trends tools and software to continuously improve editing skills and techniques.
  • Creating motion graphics titles and visual effects to enhance the video content.
  • Ensuring that the final video product is delivered within the established deadlines and meets high-quality standards.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to align the video content with the overall brand messaging and marketing strategies.
  • Managing and maintaining video equipment and software troubleshooting technical issues when necessary.
  • Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders incorporating feedback into the editing process.
  • Adhering to copyright and licensing regulations when using third-party content in the videos.
  • Optimizing videos for search engines incorporating relevant metadata and keywords to maximize visibility and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production Media Arts or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer.
  • Proficiency in motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects.
  • Proven ability to create engaging visual narratives through storytelling and pacing.
  • Strong understanding of video codecs formats and compression techniques.
  • Experience in color correction audio editing and effects to enhance visual appeal and audio quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong creative and artistic sensibility with a keen eye for visual composition and aesthetics.
  • Experience in creating and optimizing videos for various social media platforms understanding platform-specific best practices and requirements.
  • Understanding of copyright and licensing regulations for music and footage usage in videos.
  • Good understanding of video SEO and best practices for maximizing video reach and engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively taking ownership of projects from inception to completion.
