Job Title:

Corporate Tax Specialist

Job Description:

The selected candidate will be part of the International Tax team assisting clients on various corporate tax issues. They will take responsibility for client engagements and assignments, handle client engagements end-to-end related to Direct Tax Laws, analyze and research technical issues, interpret provisions under the Income Tax Act, and deal with interpretation of Tax Treaties.

Key responsibilities include taking care of client relations, drafting submissions for tax assessments, appeals, penalty, show cause, revision, order giving effects, refunds, recovery, rectification, and other income-tax proceedings. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating with seniors & partners on the planning and management of assignments, providing timely and high-quality services, and managing client expectations.

They will also be expected to update clients for ongoing matters on a prompt and regular basis, keep track of industry developments, and take technical sessions as per learning and development initiative.

Additionally, they will effectively and cordially handle team members which may comprise of Associates/ Trainees, etc.

Qualifications:
  1. Qualified chartered accountants with experience in Direct Tax - Income Tax & DTAAs, International Tax
  2. Working knowledge of FEMA & Corporate Law
  3. Willingness of handling tax office matters
  4. Work experience of minimum 3-5 years post qualification
