Job Title

We are seeking a talented Data Science Lead to join our team and drive innovation in data analytics solutions.

The successful candidate will design and build process automation using scalable Big Data infrastructure and machine learning for global-scale digital map-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test analytic and statistical models to improve internal data-driven processes and system control needs.
  • Act as an expert and evangelist in data mining, machine learning, statistics, and predictive analysis and modeling.
  • Lead predictive modeling or application teams on Core Map projects.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Econometrics with emphasis on computational statistics/science/engineering, data mining, machine learning, and optimization.
  • 7+ years of related professional experience.
  • Expert knowledge of data mining and analytic methods such as regression, classifiers, clustering, association rules, decision trees, Bayesian network analysis, etc.
  • Knowledge of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Point Cloud Processing algorithms.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis packages like Python, R, Matlab, SAS, etc.
  • Programming experience with SQL, shell script, Python, etc.
  • Familiarity with big data tools like Pig, Hive, Hadoop, and Spark.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and explain predictive systems and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development experience with Scala
  • Development experience with Docker
  • Development experience with GIS data
  • Development experience with NoSQL (i.e. DynamoDB)
