Senior Network Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative organization, where you will have the chance to contribute your expertise and skills to help drive our success.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in network engineering, design, and implementation. You will be responsible for managing and owning support tickets, designing and implementing changes as per client requirements, and working closely with other teams to assist in supporting customers and configuration tasks.

Your key responsibilities will include regular communication with existing customers, providing 3rd line support for incoming customer support queries and escalations from the 2nd line service desk, taking ownership and effectively managing support tickets for incidents, change and service requests, and planning and completing projects assigned to you by the Head of 3rd Line Network Support.

You will also be responsible for documentation of customer solutions, DR/Failover Testing, providing support and mentoring to 2nd line engineers, and providing resources to the solution delivery team in supporting the configuration and implementation of new customer projects.

Technical Environment

You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a wide range of technical equipment and tools, including switching, wireless, security, SD-WAN, and Cisco NAC ISE.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrable knowledge at CCNP (ENT/DC/SP/SEC) or JNCIP-ENT level, in-depth knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting network security devices/protocols, ability to troubleshoot and isolate faults to identify root cause and bring to resolution, advanced knowledge of layer 2 and 3 protocols, experience using firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortigate, or Cisco ASA, and proficient in packet capture and interpretation.
