Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Application Packaging Specialist to join our team. As an Application Packaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth deployment of applications across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the single point of contact for application packaging requirements, providing expert guidance and support to customers.
  • Lead Windows 7/8/10 migration projects, focusing on application packaging and testing.
  • Utilize Admin Studio/Install shield to design and implement efficient packaging solutions.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in VB/WMI scripting, Batch Scripting, PowerShell scripting, and PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in application testing and remediation techniques, with a focus on producing Windows 7/8 compatible applications using tools like ACT 5.6.
  • Stay up-to-date with VMware Workstation/Oracle Virtual Box to work on virtual builds and ensure seamless application delivery.
  • Create and repackage applications using various packaging tools like Wise or Admin Studio.
  • Cultivate in-depth knowledge of Windows Installer Technologies, including MSI Packaging, Tables, Custom Actions, and Standard Actions.
  • Leads the development and implementation of Application Virtualization Technologies, including App-V 4.6 and 5.0.
  • Troubleshoots complex issues using tools like FileMon/RegMon, PictureTaker, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in application packaging and deployment.
  • Expert-level skills in Admin Studio/Install shield, VB/WMI scripting, Batch Scripting, PowerShell scripting, and PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Installer Technologies, including MSI Packaging, Tables, Custom Actions, and Standard Actions.
  • Proficiency in application testing and remediation techniques, with a focus on producing Windows 7/8 compatible applications.
  • Familiarity with VMware Workstation/Oracle Virtual Box and Application Virtualization Technologies.
