Financial Controller

Job Summary:

  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable with the general ledger.
  • Oversee cash flow management, monitoring and managing the inflow and outflow of funds within the organization.
  • Prepare journal entries, recording various transactions, including revenue, expenses, and accruals.
  • Maintain compliance, ensuring all financial activities adhere to relevant accounting standards, like GAAP and regulations.

Tax and Audit Responsibilities:

  • Assist with tax audits, helping prepare for and respond to audits conducted by tax authorities.
  • Prepare tax returns, assisting in the preparation of corporate tax returns and other tax filings.
  • Support internal and external audits, working with auditors to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and forecasting: Develop and manage financial plans and forecasts.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, creating and maintaining effective internal controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Mentor and supervise junior accountants, guiding and delegating tasks and reviewing their work.
  • Liaise with other departments, collaborating to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.
  • Stay updated on accounting regulations, keeping abreast of changes in accounting standards and tax laws.

  • Technical accounting expertise combined with analytical and leadership skills.
  • Ability to provide valuable insights and support to management.
