Database Engineer Position

We seek a skilled Database Engineer with extensive experience in Sybase database engineering to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage scalable database configurations, including replication for homogeneous and heterogeneous environments.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages.
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval, indexing, query performance, and infrastructure for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with developers and system administrators to enhance database operations and interactions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 2 years of in-depth experience with Sybase architecture, configuration, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL, index defragmentation, re-indexing, query optimization, and client/server connectivity.
  • Strong experience in automating routine tasks, replication monitoring, and backup/recovery scheduling.
