Role Objective:

The Role of Category Manager - Bakery involves developing and implementing comprehensive category strategies that align with business goals, focusing on growth, profitability, and market share expansion.

This includes overseeing the product assortment within the bakery category, ensuring a balanced mix of offerings that cater to consumer preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse sales data to understand current offerings to key customers.
  • Understand bakery category performance and metrics.
  • Identify gaps and untapped opportunities with strategic accounts.
  • Assess current market position and formulate a strategic growth plan for the bakery category.

Pipeline Development:

  • Drive customer-led initiatives to improve pipeline for business growth.
  • Review and facilitate seamless execution of pipeline projects with sales and R&D teams.

Project Management:

  • Coordinate end-to-end with internal stakeholders for customer innovation days/meetings.
  • Develop sales pitches and train the sales team for key account engagements.
  • Understand customers' future requirements and present them to internal stakeholders.

Drive Innovation:

  • Identify gaps and untapped opportunities in the product portfolio.
  • Support R&D in developing future products to meet market demands.
  • Collaborate with R&D to identify innovative products and build a pitch portfolio.
