Job Overview:

The fabrication team is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise fabrication activities to meet production schedules.
  2. Allocate tasks and monitor workflow to ensure efficiency.
  3. Ensure availability of raw materials and tools for smooth operations.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing practices to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for employees.
  1. Quality Control
  • Verify that all fabricated components meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Investigate any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related problems.
  1. Team Management
  • Lead and motivate a team of fabricators, welders, and operators.
  • Train and develop employees on best practices, safety, and quality standards.
  • Monitor attendance, performance, and resolve shop-floor issues.
  1. Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a safe working environment.
  1. Process Improvement
  • Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Implement 5S practices to improve organization and productivity.
  • Develop and implement effective communication channels for employees.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in fabrication, welding, and sheet metal manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Arc), CNC cutting, and bending.
  • Experience in handling a team and managing shop floor operations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and fabrication blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred:

  • Certification in welding or fabrication.
  • Experience in heavy metal fabrication or precision engineering industries.
