Job Title: Automation Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation Design Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building automation, fire alarm, and security systems design.

  • Design of building automation, fire alarm, and security systems for data centers or industrial projects.
  • Experience in conceptual design at the preliminary stage by understanding project requirements following relevant codes and standards.
  • Selection of best-suited instruments or devices and their specifications for building automation, fire alarm, and security system design.
  • Hands-on experience of Indian and international codes for design.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare/review basis of design.
  • Create BMS IO summary, sequence of operations for various systems, and cause-and-effect matrix for fire alarm systems.
  • Detail drawings for field devices and cable conduit layouts.
  • Tender documents with relevant design, technical specifications, material requisition, data sheets, and BOQ as per requirement.
  • Preparing TBA/TBE, review of technical data sheets, and shop drawings submitted by various vendors/contractors.
  • Evaluating and performing design reviews and participating in team meetings to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Coordination with other disciplines and perform squad checks on drawing received from other disciplines.
  • Coordinating with construction teams to ensure proper installation as per design.
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience in handling ELV design activities.
  • BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiar with Data Center Master Plan, Concept, Schematics.
  • Should have fair understanding on TIA-942-B Standard for Data Centers.
  • Self-driven with good management and reporting capabilities.
Skills:
  • Knowledge of 3D engineering and proficiency in reviewing 3D models using Navisworks is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of ELV codes and standards is mandatory.
  • Competent user of MS Office 365: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Application of 3D review software like Navisworks.
