Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement complex configurations within Guidewire PolicyCenter to meet business requirements.
  • Customize and extend PolicyCenter functionalities, including product modeling, underwriting rules, and workflows.
  • Configure and maintain PolicyCenter rating algorithms and rules.
  • Develop and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter portal functionalities.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Guidewire PolicyCenter and other systems, including BillingCenter.
  • Configure and customize Guidewire BillingCenter functionalities as required.
  • Design and implement integration solutions using Guidewire Integration tools and techniques.
  • Participate in the technical design and architecture of Guidewire solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests.
  • Support the deployment of Guidewire solutions to production environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Analyze and optimize Guidewire performance.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in Guidewire version upgrades.
  • Analyze the impact of upgrades and implement necessary changes.

Requirements:

  • 9 to 13 years of experience in Guidewire development.
  • Extensive experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration, rating, and portal development.
  • Strong understanding of Guidewire BillingCenter and integration concepts.
  • Proficiency in GOSU, Java, XML, and web services.
  • Experience with Guidewire Studio and related tools.
  • Solid understanding of insurance industry principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Database technologies (SQL).
  • Experience with Version Control Systems (GIT).
