Information Security Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. The successful candidate will have a strong background in information security, with experience in implementing and maintaining security controls, as well as identifying and mitigating potential security risks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain security controls to protect against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction of information;
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks;
  • Develop and implement incident response plans to minimize the impact of security incidents;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security awareness and training across the organization;
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest information security threats and technologies to ensure the organization's security posture remains current and effective.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years of experience in IT Security - Data Loss Prevention;
  • Infrastructure administration and management;
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word and report writing;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to maintain system security;
  • Committed to reliable and consistent attendance;
  • Basic understanding of behavioural safety strategies;
  • Good understanding of [Cloud Security Platform, e.g., AWS, Azure];
  • Management of Multiple OEM's & Vendors in large complex environments;
  • Credentialed or trained in cyber and privacy (e.g., CISSP) preferred;
  • Credentialed or trained in CCNA, routing and switching, security;
  • Knowledge of EDR tools like- Trend micro, AV, Symantec;
  • Skills required: Infrastructure administration and management, Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word and report writing, Ability to learn and understand fire and security systems, including EAS Systems.
