Job Summary

This is an entry-level role suitable for mechanical engineers with 2-4 years of experience.

  • We are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to join our team.
  • This position involves the design and development of mechanical systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities

This role will involve:

  • Custodian Mechanical engineering of LV & MV Switchgear orders;
  • Preparing Mechanical Bill of Material based on electrical/customer inputs using standard designs;
  • Designing custom assemblies based on custom requirements, in case non-existence of standard assemblies;
  • Completing all the orders and projects with expected QUALITY;
  • Completing orders/projects within specified schedule;
  • Working on process improvement projects;
  • Providing virtual technical support for the shop floor for the orders engineered;
  • Taking up stretched assignments as and when needed;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Mechanical Design Engineering knowledge;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and assemblies;
  • Knowledge of Sheetmetal operations and processing;
  • 3D modeling and designing experience in ProE/Creo Modules: Part, Sheetmetal, Assembly and Drawing;
  • To work in a virtual environment;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to interact with Electrical Engineers, Customers, Project Managers, and Trainers to seek design solutions;
  • Team player with good interpersonal and customer relation skills;

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in:

  • Manufacturing or closely related field;
  • Sheetmetal design and manufacturing;
  • Low voltage switchboard/switchgear design, installation, and use;
  • Basic front elevation, one-line, and schematic drawings interpretation;
  • Mechanical design of low/medium voltage switchgear;
  • Training other engineers on Creo Software;
