Job Title: Deputy Director - India Energy Storage Alliance

We started our India operations as Customized Energy Solutions India Pvt. Ltd in 2010. Our India team primarily focuses on emerging technologies that are disrupting the energy industry. Our key areas of focus include energy storage, electric mobility, wholesale electricity markets, microgrids, and renewable energy.

The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) was launched in 2012 by Customized Energy Solutions to promote energy storage, electric mobility, green hydrogen, and microgrid technologies and their applications in India. For more information on IESA, please visit www.indiaesa.info/.

Job Description:

This is a leadership role to drive the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) and create a robust ecosystem to drive the growth of IESA membership and enhance the services, engagement, and drive the industry. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Driving IESA's growth and members' community to make India a global leader in emerging technology areas like energy storage, electric mobility, and green hydrogen.
  2. Facilitating support to government officials in policy advocacy and member organizations in their business growth.
  3. Understanding the top and bottom lines of the business with an eye on IESA member retention and member growth.
  4. Envisioning the future of the market and initiating appropriate initiatives and activities to help IESA member companies.
  5. Making IESA a leading global organization with a combination of think tanks, industry associations, and market research.
  6. Driving global partnerships with IEA, UN, IRENA, COP, G20, WEF, and similar organizations.
  7. Acting as IESA's ambassador and taking pride in work, and measuring results (your own and our clients).
  8. Establishing common work processes and tracking mechanisms across business units for projects/programs performance metrics/dashboards.
  9. Planning and coordination with team members, vendors, partners, and industry stakeholders. Active participation in stakeholder management.
  10. Planning IESA's strategic growth and establishing synergy and driving collaboration between different business units to deliver increased value to the organization.
  11. Keeping a watch on global energy and clean tech transition.
  12. Representing the organization at national and international levels (conferences, seminars, meetings, events).
  13. Able to discuss with CXOs to explore new business opportunities and mentor business leaders to build capabilities, and benchmark industry best practices and technologies for speeding up overall IESA development.
  14. Developing a business continuity plan to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters with a minimum 8-10 years of experience and relevant 5 years of experience managing associations, alliances, partnerships, think tanks, agencies, etc.
  2. Sound technical knowledge on clean energy and clean transport space preferred.
  3. Strong leadership ability.
  4. Self-driven, passionate, and out-of-the-box thinker.
  5. Excellent time management skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills - writing and verbal communication.
  7. Great interpersonal and presentation skills.
