Network Infrastructure Specialist

This role involves assisting in critical activities such as centralization of DHCP, management and monitoring of core DNS/DHCP integration with Windows Active Directory Service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, configuring, installing, documenting and troubleshooting Efficient IP DNS, DHCP and IPAM infrastructure.
  • Upgrading and patching DDI infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborating effectively with customers, partners, vendors and fellow team members to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Responding to incoming tickets, troubleshooting and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Analyzing network trends for capacity planning and proactive fault finding.
  • Conducting root cause analysis of network syslog and documentation.
  • Working closely with the Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) as required.
  • Having a good understanding of network administration and being proficient in switching and routing technologies.
  • Contributing to documentation, reviewing standards and operational procedures.
  • Troubleshooting issues on different network platforms including LAN and Wireless.
  • Providing root cause analysis of major incidents or problems.
  • Being flexible to work in 24/7 rotational shifts.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of network administration processes and concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL Service Management are a plus.
  • Minimum 4-10 years of experience in a technology role.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Proven experience in diagnostics and problem analysis.
  • Expertise in Efficient IP DDI (DNS, DHCP and IPAM), Cisco Routing and Switching, Wired/Wireless Networking and Network Security.

Desired Skills

  • Advanced expertise in Efficient IP DDI (DNS, DHCP and IPAM).
  • Assisting with configuration within Efficient IP appliances.
  • Configuring DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP, IPAM and other Infoblox services according to requirements.
  • Configuring Primary Zone, DNS forward zone, DNS reverse zone and forwarders.
