Chief Debt Recovery Specialist

Job Description

Our organization seeks a skilled Collections Officer to assist with the collection of outstanding debts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contacting clients, informing them of their overdue bills, advising on payment options, and negotiating suitable payment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Review the company debtor list">
• Contact customers and inform them of their overdue bills">
• Advise customers on their payment options and suggest methods of payments">
• Negotiate suitable payment plans">
• Maintain customer payment records">
• Prepare customer financial statements for banks and the state credit department">
• Write final notice warnings to customers when payments are not being made">
• Institute legal action when customers fail to pay their debt">
• Respond to customer queries">
• Contact lawyers and insurance agencies to facilitate payments">

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, or a similar field">
• Previous experience working as a Collections Officer">
• Excellent negotiating skills">
• Good written and verbal communication skills">
• Familiarity with state debt collection laws">
• Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures">
• Knowledge of office and accounting software">
• Patient and resilient">

Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule. We prefer candidates with higher secondary education (12th Pass) and one year of work experience. In-person work location preferred.

Salary Range:

10,000 - 25,000 per month
