Responsibilities

Job Description (Roles & Responsibilities):

Providing 24/7 support for L1 & L2 tickets

Installed and configured multi-nodes fully distributed Cassandra cluster

Administered Cassandra Cluster environment, including adding/removing nodes, capacity planning, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting

Familiar with backing up and restoring data (taking snapshots, deleting snapshots, enabling incremental backups, and restoring from snapshots)

Responsible for managing data from various sources

Involved in backing up and restoring data

Analyzed client systems and gathered requirements

Designed technical solutions based on client needs and systems architecture

Configured Fair Scheduler to provide service-level agreements for multiple users of a cluster

Managed nodes on Cassandra cluster connectivity and security

Developed Java APIs for interacting with Cassandra

Utilized Cassandra as the primary data storage

Supported Couchbase/PostgreSQL Database Administrator for Cloud and AWS servers

Performed DB administration tasks, including node-specific configuration, backup and restore, views query writing in Couchbase, and PostgreSQL logical database server administration

Monitored DB performance and DB tuning

Provided on-call support on weekends for all database technologies, which is mandatory
