We are seeking a highly experienced Category Executive to lead our Home and Kitchen team at Frendy. As a key member of our merchandising team, you will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies to drive sales and achieve business objectives in alignment with company goals and customer preferences.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising plans to optimize product assortment, pricing, and presentation across assigned categories.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities, informing strategic decisions to stay ahead of the competition.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and agreements to enhance product offerings and maintain competitive pricing.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of merchandising plans and initiatives, driving results in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor sales performance, inventory levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs), leveraging data insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement promotional strategies, pricing strategies, and markdown plans to optimize sales, minimize inventory risk, and maximize margins.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
• 1-3 years of progressive experience in merchandising, category management, or related roles within the retail industry.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinker, able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.
