At Aecom, we are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer - Bridge Design to join our team. As a key member of our structural engineering team, you will be responsible for designing bridges and associated structures in the initial planning, design, and modification phase of projects.

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in bridge design, who is proficient in software packages such as MIDAS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, and LUSAS. Experience with Finite Element Analysis is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will have a Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university, and a Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field. They should also have at least 6 years of experience in design work, including 3+ years of experience working in the rail and road bridges and associated structural engineering schemes assessment to detailed design.

As a Lead Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing bridges to National Highways and Network Rail standards, performing structural analysis and design of bridges and viaduct structures, flyovers, underpasses, culverts, and retaining walls. You will also be expected to provide guidance to entry-level engineers and work under minimum supervision.
