Lathe Machinery Specialist

About This Role

Daffodil Engravers (India) Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Lathe Machine Operator to join our team. As a Lathe Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lathe machines to fabricate, modify, or repair parts and components made from various materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Prepare and configure lathe machines, including selecting the appropriate tools, setting speeds, and calibrating machinery to meet production specifications.
• Operation: Operate lathe machines to produce parts according to blueprints, sketches, or specific instructions. Monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards. Make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on lathe machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience as a lathe operator or in a similar machining role is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating manual and/or CNC lathes. Knowledge of various materials and machining techniques.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address machining issues and make precise adjustments.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
