D&H Sécheron Electrodes Pvt. Ltd Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that the production process meets the required quality standards throughout the production cycle.

Job Description:

In-Process Quality Control (IIP-QC)

  • Monitor the wire drawing process to ensure that the quality of the draw wire meets the standards.
  • Verify that the wire diameter, rusting, ovality, and other parameters conform to the defined codes (AWS/BIS) and tolerances.
  • Ensure batch-wise traceability and monitor batches accordingly.

Copper Coating

  • Monitor the copper coating process to ensure that the quality of the copper-coated wire meets the standards.
  • Verify that the wire diameter, rusting, ovality, surface finishing, and copper coating conform to the defined codes (D&H/AWS/BIS) and tolerances.
  • Ensure batch-wise traceability and monitor batches accordingly.

TIG Cutting & Embossing

  • Monitor the TIG cutting and embossing process to ensure that the wire length and embossing meet the defined standards.
  • Verify that the TIG wire cutting machine is in proper condition and address any deviations from standards.

Wire Cutting

  • Monitor the wire cutting process to ensure that the wire length meets the defined standards.
  • Verify that the wire cutting machine is in proper condition and address any deviations from standards.

Extrusion/Forming Process

  • Monitor the electrodes extrusion process as per the SOR.
  • Maintain inspection formats as per defined SOP.
  • Follow all parameters as per defined SOP/process card of respective running product.

Baking Process

  • Ensure that all baking oven cycles are followed as per SOP.
  • Hold batches if any deviation is observed and inform the Quality Head.

Packaging Process

  • Perform Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) as per SOP.
  • Ensure compliance of packaging SOP to maintain defined quality standards.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:
  1. Diploma or B.E. Mechanical.
  2. Work Experience: 0 – 3 Years into Process Control-QC.

Preferred Specialized Qualification and Experience:
  1. Minimum 0-3 years of hands-on experience into In-Process Quality check (PIQC).
  2. Good understanding of MS & SS wire AWS standards.
  3. Knowledge of measuring instruments, SOP, NC, ISO, Work Instruction, 5S, CAPA, Process Loss Control.
  4. Knowledge of SMAW, MMAW, GTAW & SAW wire manufacturing process.
  5. Experience in Process Control, Inspection, Welding.

Essential Competencies:
  • Good knowledge of AWS code, ISO 9001, and 7QC tools.
  • Good understanding of CAPA and Welding consumables.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Good analytical skills and analysis ability.
