Job Title: Senior Data Engineer – Data Modeler

The ideal candidate will design, develop and implement highly scalable data capture and transformation processes across hybrid data environments that leverage distributed and relational database technologies to support analytics services.

  • Data Modeling:

  • Design conceptual, logical and physical data models using requirements gathering, data mapping documents, functional specifications, queries for Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, DataMart, OLTP, OLAP applications.

  • Entity-Relational, Data Vault, Dimensional Data modeling:

  • Utilize ERwin, ER/Studio, Enterprise Architect, PowerDesigner data modeling tools to create efficient data architectures.

  • Data Analysis:

  • Perform extensive data extraction, analysis, cleansing, mapping and profiling exercises using Informatica Analyst and other profiling tools.

    ">
  • Database Design:

  • Collaborate with DBAs and ETL Architects to design databases for Operational Data Store working with Data Vault Modeling approach.

    ">
  • Best Practices:

  • Develop best modeling approaches based on client requirements and target architecture, define data modelling best practices and ensure implementation across projects.

    ">
  • Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Data Owners, Business Analysts, Architects to design and develop next generation data platform.

Requirements:

  • Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience with hybrid data environments.

    ">
  • Understanding:

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, architecture and its implementation in complex environments.

    ">
  • Skills:

  • Good experience in OLTP and OLAP systems, excellent data analysis skills, good understanding of one or more ETL tools and data ingestion frameworks.

  • Cloud Platforms:

  • Experience on one or more cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).

    ">
  • Leadership:

  • Experience in leading large teams.
