Cardiology Technician

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Conducting electrocardiogram (EKG), phonocardiogram, echocardiogram, and stress tests by utilizing electronic equipment to diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions.
    • Ensuring cardiology patients are comfortable and informed throughout the testing process, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
    • Recording and analyzing test results, consulting with physicians to schedule follow-up tests as needed, and contributing to the development of treatment plans.
    • Providing vital support during non-invasive cardiological procedures, closely monitoring patients' heart rates and alerting physicians to any abnormal readings.
    • Maintaining accurate records of cardiological equipment maintenance, including daily cleanings and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
    • Managing supply inventory levels and restocking the storeroom accordingly to prevent shortages and minimize downtime.
    • Troubleshooting malfunctions with cardiological equipment and promptly reporting any issues to superiors to maintain equipment efficiency.
    • Engaging in ongoing professional development by attending conferences and participating in research projects to stay current with emerging trends and best practices in cardiology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of cardiological principles, diagnostic techniques, and treatment options.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
